Library Notice

To better support the learning needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), the Library offers specialised SEN equipment for checkout and has designated two SEN Workstations, located in 1/F Zone B and Zone C, to accommodate diverse learning needs.

In addition, users with SEN can approach the Service Counter (1/F Zone A) for assistance in checking in and out of the Library materials, book searching, and retrieval. Library Orientation Tours can also be arranged.

Booking & Rules

Priority will always be given to our Library users with SEN. Please book the equipment through the Library Rooms/Facilities Booking System (ITSC VPN Connection required). Below are the booking rules for the SEN equipment:

Eligible Users: Staff and Student (Users with Special Educational Needs will always have priority to use the equipment)
Quota:
  • 2 sessions per day
    (maximum 3 hours per session)
  • 14 sessions per week
  • 70 sessions per month
  • Reset on Sunday
  • The equipment and workstations are available on a "First Come, First Served" basis.
  • Concurrent bookings of 2 workstations/databases are NOT allowed.
  • No-show without making any cancellation will count against the quota limit.
  • Users are responsible for any losses and damages to the equipment in the rooms.
  • Reservation rules and regulations will be subject to change without prior notice.
  • Library reserves the right to cancel any booking without prior notice.
