Special Offers to LU Alumni Giving Club Members and Lingnan University MasterCard (Graduates) Card Holders

  • Valid members of LU Alumni Giving Club can enjoy a waiver of the Alumni Borrowers’ Card Annual Fee (a refundable deposit of HK$500 is still required). Please visit Office of Institutional Advancement and Public Affairs webpage for details
  • Card Holders of Lingnan University MasterCard (Graduates) will enjoy a 20% discount on the Alumni Borrowers’ Card Annual Fee

Application Procedure

To apply for the Alumni Library Card, please register online and note the required procedure and information needed.

In general, students can access the Library with their LU Card until 31 August of their graduation year. Alumni Library Card applications of current year graduates will be processed after the graduate list and status are confirmed in around November.

Processing / Replacement Fee:
  • The Library will reply within 14 working days upon receipt of the application. (Due to a large number of applications in early-mid September, the processing time may be prolonged.)  
  • HK$50 will be charged for card replacement in case of loss or damage
  • Please settle payment by Octopus 
  • Alumni Library Card can be renewed 30 days before its expiry date. 
Deposit Refund:
  • Library Card deposits can be refundable when it is no longer necessary to use the library services. For registration for the refund, please submit the online form to the Library for processing.
Terms and Conditions:
  • The Alumni Library Card application is considered on an individual basis. The Library reserves the right to reject any new / renewal application
  • All fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable
  • Alumni Library Card can be renewed 30 days before its expiry date
  • The Library Card is not transferable
  • If the Library Card is lost or damaged, please report to the Library as soon as possible
  • All Library Notices will be sent by email only
  • The Library reserves the right to amend or change all the terms and conditions at any time without issuing further notice. In case of disputes, the decision of the Library shall be final and binding
