The Course Reserves service allows teaching staff to request essential course-related materials, such as books and audiovisual (AV) materials from the Library’s collection, to be placed on reserve for student use. These items have a short loan period (2 or 7 days), ensuring faster circulation and broader access to required course materials.

Locate Course Reserves
- You can search the Course Reserves via 1-Search or Course Readings @ Library; by the Course Code or Course Name.

- The Course Reserves physical books /AV materials are housed in the Course Reserves area at 1/F (Zone A)

Check Out of Course Reserves
Only LU staff and students are eligible to check out Course Reserves. Please refer to checkout privileges for details.
Request for Course Reserves (For Teaching Staff)
- Teaching staff and course instructors can place Library materials in the Course Reserves by using the Online Form. The available checkout periods are 2 or 7 days.
- Submit one form per course; a copy of the course outline is required for the submission.
- If the material is not available in our Library, you are welcome to make a purchase recommendation.
- The Library will process your request for Course Reserves within 7 working days.
- For materials not available in the Library, they will be added to the Course Reserves after the purchase process.
- During peak seasons, processing may take a longer time. To ensure efficient processing, please provide complete and accurate information in your request in advance.
- Course Reserves will be kept only for the requested Term and will be removed before the next Term unless an extension is requested. To extend the Course Reserves period, please make an advanced request via library@ln.edu.hk
