  • More connections and seats at the Library

    The Library recently added electrical outlets for laptops to over 50 carrels and added more seating. Including new sofas and casual chairs, the Library can now seat 632 people, 42 more than could be seated last year and 138 more than could be accommodated before the two third floor towers were enclosed for study space. Small tables for laptops have also been provided for students using the casual seating.

  • Library Workshop Registration Now Open to All Students and Staff

    Join our library workshops by signing up at:

    Staff and students who complete three or more workshops will receive a Certificate issued by the Library. Students can also earn up to 3 ILP Credits!

  • Library Computing Facility and Service Enhancements for the New Academic Year

    Dear Students and Colleagues,

    Welcome back! We are pleased to announce the following enhancements to our Library services.

    1. Provision of More Powerful PCs in the Library
    All PCs in the Individual Study Rooms and on the 3/F are replaced by more powerful hardware to facilitate your study and research needs.

  • Library Network Printing Service Enhancement for the New Academic Year

    Dear Students and Colleagues,

    To further promote the green printing service, all Library Octopus Black & White printers are now configured with double-sided printing by default. You can still switch to single-sided printing if needed.

  • Warm Strangers : Photo Exhibition by Kelven Cheung

    We are pleased to announce that the Library is now organizing a photo exhibition named "Warm Strangers : Photo Exhibition by Kelven Cheung".  Kelven is a year 2 post-graduate student from the Department of Cultural Studies.

  • Enhancement for HKALL user authentication

    Dear Staff and Students,

    We are pleased to announce that the Library has introduced an enhancement for user authentication of the HKALL system.

    From now on, in addition to use the existing name, barcode and PIN to log in, you can also use the username and password of your Lingnan account to log in to the HKALL system for requesting items. Please refer to the attached screen capture for details.
