Library Service Updates for Term 2 2019/20


Please note the following updates on the library service:

1.      Opening Hours

Following the campus security measures of the University, the Library is open for current Lingnan University staff and students. Other users are required to present their relevant library cards such as alumni library cards, external library cards, JULAC cards at the entrance to clear the manual checking procedure.

Library will resume the General Opening Hours on 17 January 2020, with details as below:

Saturday 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Sunday 1:00 p.m. to 12:00 midnight

2.      Return of and Waiving Fines for Library Materials
Previous special arrangement to handle returning of library materials will be ended by 31 January 2020. All Overdue Fines Regulations will be re-activated from 1 February 2020.

3.      HKALL and Interlibrary Loans Request
This service has resumed normal as all JULAC Libraries are open now.

4.      Course Readings @ Library (
New Course Readings for courses in Term 2 have been prepared, some enhancements have been implemented in the Moodle and 1-Search platform for direct access of the Course Readings list if available. Students can access the electronic books/articles easily from this platform.

5.      Library Workshops for Term 2 2019/20
All students and staff of the University are welcome to participate in the library workshops. We have arranged a series of workshops on the following topics:

A. Information Discovery & Reference Management
B. Database & Application
C. Research Work Publishing
