The Library would like to invite postgradaute students and staff to join the following 3 workshops in November:
Making Meaning Out of Qualitative Data Using NVivo

NVivo is a program that enables researchers to code qualitative data. It will enable you to build categorization and relations between codes so that themes can be organically evolved in massive amounts of qualitative data during the process. In the workshop, you will learn the key steps in coding, organizing and reorganizing codes to formulate the initial framework of your research projects through NVivo.

It is a practical workshop with hands-on exercises, participants can use the PCs in MB202 with NVivo pre-installed.
Participants are also welcome to bring their own devices with NVivo installed before attending the session. 14-day NVivo trial version is available at:

Journal ranking is a set of measurements to evaluate an academic journal's impact and quality relative to other journals in the same academic field. It is an important indicator for researchers to select which journal they will submit their manuscript to.
In this workshop, the concepts of journal ranking and related journal impact factors as a tool to evaluate the academic publications will be detaily discussed.
