A small universe within a book. All of my books start with an initial idea. It can be a question of a friend like "Are you escaping from Christmas, if you travel to Japan during the Christmas season?" or "Can you teach me how to use chop sticks?" Another reason for starting a book project might be based on a personal interest e.g. in language. My books are my visual answers and descriptions. Each book explains a microcosm. The research, the text, the layout, the shape, the materials and the binding, all together forms one small universe. (By Ms. Mariko Takagi)

"In the talk, the artist will share his love and passion for books and the experiences of being an illustrator and comics writer for books and newspaper. He will also share about how to get inspirations from everyday life and the experience of book publishing." (By Mr. Justin Wong)
