The Overnight Study Area is available to current Lingnan University staff and students after the Library's Regular Opening Hours. Located on 1/F Zone B, it includes:

• Late Reading Room
• 2 Computer Rooms
• Lobby Area

Late Reading Room

Late Reading Room serves as a learning hub to meet students’ quiet and individual study needs and is available overnight. It provides:

• 60 seats across 6 large study tables on a first-come-first-served basis.
• High Use Books for overnight access
• Real-time seat availability status is available at the Interactive Floor Plan

2 Computer Rooms (Computer Room 1 and Room 2)

Connected to the Late Reading Room, 2 Computer Rooms are also open for overnight access. Facilities include:

• 90+ seats
• Public PCs & iMacs
• Database Workstations (Library-Use-Only)
• Multi-Function Printer (MFP) for print, copy and scan
• 14 Postgraduate Study Carrels (available for overnight booking during the Examination period)
• Special Educational Needs (SEN) Workstation
• Drinking Water Refill Stations
• Unisex Toilet (available during overnight study period)

Lobby area

Entrance Lobby remains open during the overnight study period. Facilities include:

• Self-Checkout Station
• Self-Pickup Locker
• Powerbank Rental Kiosk

Access and Hours  

1. Only current Lingnan staff and students are eligible to use the Rooms after the Library closes.  
2. The area is closed for 30 minutes daily for cleaning before the Library reopens. All users are required to leave the Library with their personal belongings. 
3. Operating hours and services may change without prior notice

Regulations

1. All space and facilities in the rooms are available for use on a first come, first served basis. 
2. Always be considerate to others. The Rooms are for quiet study. No food or drink, and no loud discussions are allowed.
3. Please do not leave any personal belongings unattended. The Library is not responsible for the safe custody of any article left in the Rooms.
4. The toilet in Computer Room 1 of 1/F Zone B is ONLY available for use when the Library is closed. Please use other toilets during Library Opening Hours.
5. Security guards are stationed outside the Rooms for users’ safety.
6. All Library Users are reminded to observe the Library Regulations.
