Google Scholar is an online search engine designed for discovering research publications. With a research profile, you may enhance the visibility of your work and gain valuable metrics such as citation counts, h-index, and i10-index, to get insights into your research impact.

Search for your author's name on Google Scholar. Your profile should appear at the top of the search results.

View the profile to check:
- List of publications
- Citation count
- h-index
- i10-index

If your profile is not visible,
- Make sure you have created a profile.
- Set your profile to "public".
The guides below will show you how to do so.
Go to Google Scholar and sign in with your Google account (if you do not have an account, sign up for one).
Click on "My profile".

Fill in the profile details, especially:
- Name: Use your full name.
- Affiliation: Enter "Lingnan University".
- Email: Use your Lingnan email to link your profile.

Select the publications that match your profile.

Review and adjust your settings.
- Set profile visibility to "public".
- Opt in for email updates to receive notifications about new citations or publications.
- Remember, Google may add articles that are not yours, especially if your name is common. Email alerts can help you review these additions.
- Save your profile.

Sign in and go to "My profile".

Click the pencil icon next to your name to edit your profile.

Modify fields as needed.
